Sean Dunphy dominated the Irish Showband scene in the 1960s & 70s. His deep rich voice made him a household favourite nationwide and he represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest with "If I Could Choose" -- coming second. I had the pleasure of meeting Sean several times and, as well as being one of our most popular singers, he was a real gentleman in every sense of the word
